Final Score: Steelers 16, Lions 16
I wish I could go back in time and not waste 4 hours of my Sunday afternoon watching this horrific "game". Luckily, I had happy hour to go to, so I missed the overtime, which sounded, if possible, worse than the actual game.
Quick rundown of the game: With Big Ben out with Covid after self-reporting like a good team leader (looking at you Aaron Rodgers), the Steelers turned to Mason Rudolph yet again. And yet again, he wasn't great. Our best drive was our opening one. It went downhill from there. We drove down the field, ate up 5 minutes of clock and Rudolph threw a touchdown to Washington. Making it look easy. This is the second week in a row we have scored on an opening drive! Sadly, the Lions then ran for a touchdown, making it 7-7 early in the second quarter. Najee Harris ran in for a touchdown but it was called back due to holding. That forced us to kick a field goal, making it 10-7 with four minutes left in the half. Cam Heyward came up with a huge goal line stop, but the Lions kicked a field goal, making it 10-10 at halftime.
The Lions came out for the second half and ran for another touchdown, but missed the field goal after. The Steelers scored two field goals, making it 16-16 and forcing overtime. After a ten minute overtime quarter the score was still 16-16 and the game ended in a tie. Which was news to some players.
Here's a fun stat from ESPN!

Thoughts while watching the game:
Well I can already see why the lions are 0-8. That hit by Tracy Walker on Ray-Ray McCloud scared me. I genuinely jumped. The older I get the harder it is for me to watch some of these hits. D'Andre Swift is having an amazing day! He must be working off of Taylor's energy
We have GOT to stop relying on Chris Boswell's leg to keep us in games/have us win games. I mean I love the man but it's embarrassing. I think I genuinely would rather of taken the L this week and kept Joe Haden and TJ Watt healthy. Watt left the game with an injury to his hip and knee and did not return. Haden left the game with an foot injury and did not return. But wait, there's more! Kevin Dotson and Trai Turner also both left the game with ankle injuries.
I can't talk about this game anymore, I'm losing brain cells with each sentence I waste on it.
Other news from around the league: Von Miller may potentially make his debut appearance for the Rams tonight. But he also may not thanks to an ankle injury. Cam Newton signed with his original team, the Carolina Panthers. He's expected to start next week for the first time in Carolina since he was fired after the 2019 season. As some of you may recall, Newton was dropped by the Patriots earlier this season because of, in Cam's words, "distractions":

The ego on this man is incredible, and I love it. Also props to Elle Duncan for the tweet of the week:
