Final Score: Raiders 26, Steelers 17

Well fam, that was not the outcome we were hoping for. The good news is I tried this new thing where I didn't let the outcome of the Steelers game affect my mood for the rest of the day and I think it worked! The other good news is unless Davante Adams goes off tonight my Fantasy team is going to win! I will also happily admit that the Raiders looked really good.

A quick synopsis of the game in case anyone missed it: we won the coin toss and got the ball, then preceded to do absolutely nothing with it. It was very quickly 6-0 Raiders after two field goals. Our only lead lasted about 2 minutes and came after Juju Smith-Schuster's touchdown. The Raiders quickly responded with another field goal, making it 9-7. Najee Harris did manage to score the first touchdown of his NFL career, making it 16-14 later in the game. Another highlight came when Chris Boswell hit the longest field goal in stadium history at 56 yards. Unfortunately, the bad moments outweighed the good.

Tyson Alualu went down in the first quarter with a fractured ankle and will miss the rest of the season. TJ Watt left the game in the second quarter after 4 tackles and a strip sack with a groin injury. Trai Turner was ejected in the fourth quarter for spitting on a Raiders player. Yikes. After the game, Mike Tomlin and Turner explained that a Raiders player had tried to spit on Turner first, but that Turner's response was the one that got him ejected. I guess I believe this, because I want to believe this. Tomlin did seem keyed up about the ejection and had a lengthy discussion with officials. Finally, Diontae Johnson hurt his knee on the final play of the game.

With our key player out the defense wasn't able to help the offense as much as they did last week. And like last week, our offense took forever to get started and in the end just couldn't match Derek Carr. No shade, but does that man wear eyeliner? Or does he just have incredible eyelashes? Our main problem on offense continues to be our young O line. I said it last week and I will say it again: they need work. Ben got hit 10 times yesterday and was sacked twice.

Everyone wants to talk about Tomlin not going for it in the fourth quarter on a 4th and 1. The only thing I will say is I agree with Tomlin's lack of trust in his offense, but then again I'm not the head coach. Your head coach thinking you can't succeed on a 4th and 1 is a really really bad look.

Some thoughts while watching: My personal highlight of the game came when Najee Harris stiff armed Johnathan Abram into next week.

I would love to watch a game where only the players are micc'ed up and you didn't have to listen to any commentary. That game would be so fun and entertaining to watch! We should do that once a season.

The crowd already has a chant for Freiermuth and it sounds just like HEATHHHH! I was so confused when it sounded like they were booing when he caught his first pass but it quickly dawned on me what they were saying.

Ben's 52 yard pass to Claypool was another great moment of the game, reminding everyone that Ben's still got it.

Do you think I will live to see a female kicker in the NFL? That would be amazing. I feel like it could happen in my lifetime (I am thinking all of this because of the Canadian player Kristie Elliott who became the first woman to score in a college football game).

Prediction for next week: We will (must) beat the Bungels, but it will be close. My prediction is 24-21 us.
